Meet the Speaker

Lauren is a licensed social worker in the state of Illinois. She practices primarily as a private practice clinician with Strength & Serenity Counseling, LLC. She also serves as a school counselor for a local Christian school. In her private practice, she sees clients from all walks of life but specializes in Christian sex therapy. Lauren is under the supervision of Dr. Jennifer Konzen and Kimber Brokaw, LISW. 

Lauren was baptized into Christ October 16, 2009. She and her wonderful husband Craig have been married 11 years and have 3 gorgeous children; Eliana (7), Cael (3) and Enya (2). Personally, Lauren and Craig have navigated loss, infertility, adoption, and chronic pain. 

A lifelong student, her personal experience as well as clinical study continue to fuel Lauren's passion for healthy Christian theology on sex and the body. 

At the upcoming retreat, Lauren will be focusing her message on sexual wholeness in a broken world, aimed at both married and single women alike. 

Meet the Speaker

LaShell Pope is a native of Dayton, Ohio and a graduate of Wright State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Communication and a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Amridge University.  She migrated to Marietta, GA in 1996 with her amazing husband, Michael of 30 years and two beautiful daughters; Evan and Erin to continue in her career in banking.  However, four years later she and her husband were called to serve in the ministry full-time in Atlanta in January 2000 and have been serving the Lord since.

Over the last 22 years, God has provided her with opportunities to serve as a Women’s Ministry Leader and Hospice Chaplain in various churches and hospices throughout metro Atlanta, Savannah, GA and Southern California.
